Luminaire makers able to use DiiA trademarks without fees

The Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA) has confirmed that luminaire manufacturers and other companies can receive a license to use DiiA’s trademarks without paying a registration fee or license fee.

This applies to companies, particularly luminaire manufacturers, who will not certify products themselves but will incorporate certified DALI-based components into their luminaires.

DiiA will grant these companies a license to use its trademarks in accordance with the DiiA Trademark Guidelines.

For this purpose, companies will be able to register as Community members of DiiA; there is no registration fee or license fee.

To preserve the integrity of its certification program, DiiA will monitor the use of its trademarked logos and Certification Marks, and will take steps to prevent improper use in the marketplace.
