Liaisons with external organizations

DiiA liaisons

DiiA works with a number of external organizations:

The liaison with IEC allows DiiA to participate in work group WG 11 of TC 34 within IEC.

>> News (June 2018): IEC and DiiA sign liaison agreement

WG 11 develops and maintains IEC 62386, the international DALI standard.

DiiA provides Clarifications and Recommendations to WG 11, which are used by IEC in future updates of IEC 62386.

DiiA also writes new specifications, which are provided to IEC to be incorporated into IEC 62386.

DiiA worked with the ANSI Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) C137 on Lighting Systems when developing the new DiiA specifications.

>> DiiA press release (Sept 2018): DALI specifications from DiiA enable intelligent, connected LED luminaires

The ANSI committee provided feedback on the draft DiiA specifications. Forthcoming ANSI standards in this area will be aligned with the DiiA specifications.

A presentation was given at Lightfair by Signify's Mike O'Boyle, describing the work of ANSI C137.4 Working Group in relation to standards for intra-luminaire DALI. >> Seminar materials

Zhaga Consortium

DiiA and Zhaga are currently working together to develop a new certification program, for sensors and/or communication devices that can be connected to LED luminaires with plug-and-play interoperability.
